What's for Dinner?

Want a free autographed photo of René?

therene:

You know what you need? AN AUTOGRAPHED RENÉ AUBERJONOIS PHOTO!

So guess what? I’m going to give ONE LUCKY WINNER an autographed 8x10 photo.

I’m one of the thousands of people who are going to see René on Aug. 1 at Creation’s Star Trek Vegas convention. I’ll get your autograph there, from the man himself at his autograph table, and mail it to you!

All you have to do is follow this Tumblr, like this post and reblog it between now and Aug. 2.

Good luck!

General Tso’s Chicken

I used this recipe:

I will say, definitely use LITE soy sauce! I did it with regular and it was WAY too salty (though the taste did mellow after it cooled!)

I would definitely try this again!

Not a dinner but I want to share anyway! If you don’t know, we have in Korea a rather unique dessert item for summer: Bing-su! Basically it’s shaved ice with stuff, usually red bean, condensed milk, sweet rice cakes and whatever fruit or cereal you like or can get really!

This one is home made thanks to our new ice shaver machine! We actually froze milk cubes and used that instead of regular ice and it was all that much better (tho the milk doesn’t freeze as hard and is seriously hard to get out of the trays!) then we put Oreo cereal, condensed milk, sliced banana, almonds, chocolate syrup and a smallish dollop of ice cream with Oreos around the edge.

It was delish! If you have something that shaves ice at home you should try this! Feel free to hit me up for recipe ideas or throw your own at me!

Campbell’s beef stroganoff recipe from their site with hamburger instead of cut beef because that’s how my mom does it. Sorry again for lack of presentation shot. Hubby was sick so I took it to him in bed. :-(

Pot roast. Sorry I don’t have any on the table pictures of this one. My husband called after it was almost done and said he was going out with his coworkers so I ate by myself (over several meals) and didn’t share!

Yes, it was that good!

Pasta night!

Taco night!

I made pretzels! Yum!
